Formed in 2009, the trio of "somewhere in the North East of France" is preparing to release its second album. Suffice to say that the step is important. Already to succeed Demain, their previous record, which imposed a certain level of quality, then to clearly mark that 10 years (soon) for a group, it is not nothing.
In order not to change a winning team, No Vale Nada therefore returned to lock itself up during 2018 at Amaury Sauvé and his now essential Apiary Studio, to fix the 10 titles of Alter/Ego on a very dark wax. And indeed, the trio succeeded in proving once again that they mastered their subject marvelously, namely producing big sound with the help of an unusual line-up (Keyboard / "cigarbox" Guitar / Drums). But this time, the level is largely raised, with a more skilfully posed voice, a keyboard more assumed in its role of "factory-to-noise-which-is-not-only-a-bass-substitute and much more efficient production.
For newcomers, we could summarize the band as oscillating between a very rhythmic Post-Hardcore armed with a well distorted voice reminiscent of the most beautiful works of a Death Engine and the aggressive Noise of a Daughters. But beyond name dropping, No Vale Nada pulls out of the game with a keen sense of riffs and black melody, filling its Alter/Ego with unstoppable hits, as long as we finally accept to consider titles to unheard-of violence like "tubes" in good and due form.
